Protein is an essential nutrient for the body.

It provides structure,and transports and stores nutrients.

It is made up of many amino acids that join together to form long chains in the body.

Protein is also used as an energy. It provides 4 calories per gram(the same as carbohydrates).

In short, protein has so many roles in the body,making it one of the most important nutrients for your health.
